2005
In May 2005 David was watching Sprintcars on Foxtel and mentioned that he would like to try his hand at racing sprintcars…

So Dad (Brian) looked around for a sprintcar and found one in the Sunday Times for sale.  He contacted the seller and struck a deal for the first of many cars
to come.

This car was a 2003 Eagle with a 360 cu-in motor.  The car was prepared and painted up for the first season at Kwinana Motorplex in November 05.

The first time David drove ANY race car was at practice on a Wednesday night before the first race meeting on the Saturday night.  At his first competition
meeting he raced very well and finished third in his division for the end of season points.

At the end of the year he had won the Brodix Challenge for Western Australia and the prize was a flight to America and return to race a the 360 ci sprint car at
the Knoxville Nationals which is an exceptional result for someone never having raced any type of race car before unfortunately the car we organized to race
over there the owner had blown the motor the week before so he did not race.

2006
Halls Motorsport purchased a new Maxim chassis, which had a 410 cu-in motor in it, which had to be taken out and replaced with a 372 cu-in motor for the new
season. In this season David had a reasonable run until going wheels up at Albany Speedway in an SEG round last January, after racing the 2nd fastest time
on the night.

2007
In this year David got to run a 410 ci motor and it was a different deal running a 410 compared to a 360 ci but he had a pretty good year and won some heat
races.

2008
David started out very fast and was looking good but half way through the year he decided to have a spell from racing. He just brought a new home with 3
acres so he had plenty of work to do So the hobby was put on hold.

2010
David had this year off as well but he has 3 brand new cars coming in the container from America with all brand new gear so he will be fully charged to get
back in the seat, He has been to America to help Kerry Madsen with the car and David will be running the same car Kerry is running in the states.

David will be helping Kerry at the Knoxville Nationals as will his new Crew Chief Keith Giles and brother Greg. So they will be learning as much as they can to
get there KPC Chassis going as good as Sonny Kratser has Kerry's going.
